On 11th March 2020 the Chancellor announced that a grant would be made available to businesses to help support them through the Covid-19 crisis.
If the Council’s Business Rates Service have identified your business as potentially qualifying for this support, a letter will have been sent to your business however some businesses are closed and may not have received the letter directly.
Before grants are awarded, they need to make sure that you qualify for the grant and it gets payed into the correct account. To do so, they need the following information to ensure the grants arrive as early as possible:
· Your business rates account reference (shown at the top of this e-mail)
· Your business trading name and business address
· Your full personal name and current correspondence address
· VAT registration number
· Your nominated bank account name
· Your nominated bank account number
· Your nominated bank account sort code
If you qualify, grants will be paid directly into the nominated bank account of the business liable for the rates therefore the bank details provided must be for the Business Rates account holder.
