Food Banks, Community Stores & Fridges
Barley Loaves Distribution Service runs every Tuesday between 7.30pm – 8.30pm at The ecclēsia (London City Mission) 1 Cornmill Lane, Lewisham
SE13 7FY. They offer alternate weeks: women one week, men another week. They currently provide food bags to takeaway during the crisis. For more info. visit their website.
Eliot Bank and Kelvin Grove Children’s Centre Food Bank
Provide food and essentials for anyone in need in the local community. People can self-refer but do need to sign-up to register with the Centre.

Tuesdays 5 – 7pm provide food to Store members and deliver food to vulnerable store members only. They are open on Fridays for surplus food giveaways only. Feed the Hill – free and discounted food box deliveries
Working with Bold Vision and the Station Café, Telegraph Hill Centre (Kitto Road, SE14 5TY) Feed the Hill deliver food boxes to local housebound people. Boxes are at cost £10 and delivered for free to people in the ward/local SE14 area via the mutual aid group volunteers. They accept referrals for people who can’t afford to pay. Front Room Club
We can provide a one off small emergency food parcel to fill the gap between requesting support and receiving food from other organisations (i.e. the weekend). Delivery available to residents of the Downham Estate, Tuesday to Saturday with sufficient notice. Alternatively collection from St Luke’s Downham, corner of Northover and Shroffold Road, BR1 5JR on Friday 10.30am to 12.30pm or by arrangement (Tue to Sat).

Grove Park Emergency Food Bank Project
For people of Grove Park and the surrounding area struggling to put food on their table, or in financial crisis/hardship. To collect food items, please attend with ONE form of ID and ONE proof of address.
Frequency: Once a week on Fridays 12noon to 2pm
Location: Word of Life Church, Rehoboth Building, 72A Mayeswood Road, SE12 9RP (Community Resource Centre in the Lower Floor)

All referrals to Lewisham Foodbank should now be made through https://www.lewishamlocal.com/request-support/. If you cannot afford food, please get a referral through an organisation you are linked with (eg jobcentre, school, charity), and we can deliver a free food parcel to you. If you are not linked to an organisation, please contact National Association of Citizens Advice Bureaux (NACAB) on 080 8208 2138.
LWCC Food Service
LWCC Food Service has resumed with a delivery service (only) to the following post code areas: SE4, SE6, SE13, SE14, SE23 and SE26.

Anyone making a request will need to provide their name, address, post code, telephone number, family size, allergies or other dietary requirements. Deliveries will be weekly on Wednesdays only so requests must be made by the end of Monday.
Pepys Community Store
The Pepys Social Supermarket opens on Fridays between 3pm and 6pm for Members around Pepys/Evelyn, Deptford. Address is 199-201 Grove Street, Deptford, SE8 3PG. A paper form can be picked up at the store, or one can join as a member or to volunteer, by completing an online application at Lewisham homes.org.uk/pepys-social-supermarket/. They offer deliveries.

Salvation Army (Deptford Church and Community Centre)
We continue to run a small, local foodbank to help anyone in our community that is experiencing financial hardship. We can provide emergency food parcels for residents in the SE8 postcode area and refer families into support provided by the local borough of Lewisham. Delivery only. Seventh Adventist Church
The Seventh Adventist Church is giving away groceries on Thursdays from 5-6.30pm at their church building, 430 Lewisham High Street, SE13 6LJ. Parcels tend to be enough for two days, mainly non-perishables, no meat.
St Peter’s Church Brockley Food Bank

The Life Giving Project

The Helping Hands Food Bank
This food bank run by Action for Refugees Lewisham supports around 30 refugee, asylum-seeker, and vulnerable migrant families who are struggling to feed themselves. Referrals can be made via email@example.com for their support services.We Care Foodbank – at capacity
Whitefoot and Downham Food Project
Thursdays 7-8.30pm – Hope Church 480 Whitefoot Lane Downham, BR1 5SF. Support people in the local area with takeaway food parcels. Self-referrals accepted. They currently can’t cater for dietary requirements.
World of Hope
Based in Greenwich but with some distribution in Lewisham, they are offering food distribution supporting African, refugee and migrant communities across South East London with culturally specific food. Contact firstname.lastname@example.org for more information or visit their website.
All Saints Church New Cross free meals on Friday
Fridays from 7pm in the car park of All Saints, New Cross – 105 New Cross Road. The White Hart pub and All Saints Church in New Cross are teaming up every Friday at 7pm to distribute fresh meals to those who are struggling to have enough to eat. This is primarily a ‘take away’ service but there will be some seating with 2m distancing for those who would benefit from company and conversation.
