On Wednesday 17 June, as part of our Virtual Digital Communications Training Series, Media Trust will be running a free webinar supported by the BBC on how to get your charity’s story into the news. Join us and learn directly from three leading journalists ‘How to pitch in a pandemic’.

During the webinar, you’ll learn from three leading journalists how the newsroom/news cycle works, what makes a good pitch, and providing content for stories in lockdown. The webinar will begin with a series of presentations, followed by a live curated question and answer session.

Charity Speed Mentoring

Media Trust is celebrating Small Charity Week with a Virtual Volunteering Event. In small groups via Zoom, charities will have an opportunity to get free expert 1-to-1 advice with media and communications volunteers who can help you with the communications challenge you are facing.

Each breakout group will focus on a different communications area: Media and Journalism, Social Media and Digital Marketing, and Comms Strategy and Planning.

Writing for Social Media with Google Digital Garage

On Tuesday 23 June we’ll be partnering with Google Digital Garage to provide free training on Writing for Social Media as part of our Virtual Digital Communications Training. The webinar will teach you how to create compelling content and develop the right tone of voice. You will also discover writing techniques to tackle character limits online and how to interact with your audiences.
