Want a Social Work student for 70 days?

Even small community organisations can benefit from having a Social Work student on work placement. You don’t need any knowledge of social work. Students work in a similar way to any other new member of staff. They can provide extra support for your staff in their daily work or manage a project, such as setting up a new initiative.  You will need to provide students with some direct client experience and fortnightly supervision. There’s minimal paperwork involved.

Canterbury Christ Church University regularly requires 70-day placements for our students on the BA Hons Social Work and MA Social Work programmes. We have students within a range of settings which provide a wealth of opportunities for development for both the student and the placement provider. Many placement providers report back that they enjoy the experience of supporting a student, the fresh insights brought to a situation. There is also funding available to providers who support our students on placement.

If you would like to discuss this opportunity further, please contact the Academic Placement Lead erin.king@canterbury.ac.uk 07935 010516. We look forward to hearing from you.
