You can get a card by for £10, which goes towards supporting local good causes, or volunteer within our tremendous borough to get a card absolutely free.

Why did we create the Lewisham Local Card?
Our mission at Lewisham Local is encourage a spirit of local pride and strengthen our community with solidarity, equality and opportunity for all.
The card was first imagined as a way to reward our volunteers delivering projects like food banks and community gardens back in 2016. We wanted to build links between the community and the amazing independent businesses in the borough and encourage supporting local traders.
Now that Lewisham is recovering from the pandemic, it’s more important than ever to support small businesses. We recognise that not everyone can volunteer their time, so we now offer the card at an annual cost of £10.
How does the card work?
You simply need to show your card at the till! You can use your card at any participating business where you see the Lewisham Local sticker in the window. Our partnered businesses set their own offers so ask inside or check our business directory to find out more.
How do I volunteer for a Lewisham Local card?
We believe that everyone has something to give regardless of age, ability, or skillset. You can head over to our volunteering page to find a role to suit you, or email hello@lewishamlocal.com to be matched to a cause you care about!
Lewisham Local is the lead volunteer coordinator for the Lewisham Borough, we currently run 18 projects ourselves and can link you to dozens more!
Where does the money go?
Your donation is split 50/50 between funding the administration of the scheme and good causes. We wanted to provide everyone with a chance to support the community, even if they are unable to give their time and skills, money can be just as effective!
When will my card arrive?
Your card should arrive between 7-10 working days after your order was placed. Delivery may be delayed during the holiday periods.
How long does the card last?
Your card will expire one year after its issue. This date will be stamped on the front of the card. Don’t worry, you will be contacted to renew the card in the weeks running up to its expiry.
