Build a Home for the Refugee Café
The Refugee Café is seeking your help to launch a refugee-led cafe in Lewisham, serving delicious food whilst providing paid roles and food-and-work skills training to local refugees.
The Refugee Cafe will:
· Create living wage employment for a team of refugee chefs
· Provide food-and-work skills training to support refugees into hospitality jobs
· Boost the local economy by investing 100% of any profits into the charity’s work
· Celebrate food cultures in Lewisham with a healthy and exciting menu
· Rejuvenate the borough through hosting community events, workshops and feasts
The Refugee Cafe team are working with the Council to secure a site in the heart of Lewisham – but they need your help to kit it out! They have some amazing limited-edition rewards available for supporters.
