About the role
- Term: Fixed term for 12 months – extension and hours increase possible, subject to successful income generation
- Hours: 28 hours per week
- Salary: £33,000 + 6% employer pension (pro rata £26,400)
- Reporting to: Local Giving Programme Manager
- Location: Unit C, Place/Ladywell, 216 Lewisham High Street, SE13 6AY and other locations as required and flexible working
- Holidays: 25 days per year + bank holidays and 2 annual volunteering days (pro rata for part-time employees)
Join the Lewisham Local team to become our first ever Fundraising and Communications Coordinator!
Lewisham Local connects the community to give, share and work together to create happier and healthier communities. Our charity is growing and it is an exciting time to join the team to increase our charity supporters and communicate our impact to the local community.
You will oversee our fundraising and communications, building successful relationships with trusts and foundations and developing new community fundraising initiatives to support our work. You will lead on creating impactful communications through our website, newsletters and social media, that engage local people, businesses and funders to understand the difference we make and encourage them to support our work. There will be lots of opportunities to test new ideas, learn and innovate and develop our core organisation’s ‘voice’.
We are looking for someone with experience fundraising in a charity. You will be a confident verbal and written communicator, able to develop new relationships and articulate compelling messages that inspire people to give and engages funders.
