About your organisation/community group?
“We provide free digital/ printable map for the public and health/ care practitioners. It shows hundreds of places in the borough, with contact details, good for people’s health and wellbeing: What’s Good, Nearby.”
How you have refocused your work/services during Covid-19?
“We have focused on showing those in most health need, and those who care for them, contact details for 250 sources of Covid-19 help across the borough’s neighbourhoods: ‘Help, Nearby’. These details include Mutual Aid and other community support groups, pharmacies, remaining open foodbanks/ hot meals, GPs, locally- tailored advice for carers. With the unprecedented crisis, some NHS/ community groups have put the link to our map on their websites (eg. GP Federation, GCDA, VAL/ Metro). We have supported and coordinated with the mapping efforts of Lewisham Mutual Aid: the mutual aid map of hyperlocal Covid-19 support in Lewisham has received 15k views in less than a month, showing the enormous interest of Lewisham residents in help, nearby.”
Do you require any support from Lewisham Local?
“Any volunteers who are willing and able to help in mapping research of the rapidly-evolving Covid-19 support landscape. Clarity from Lewisham Local/VCS on whether they and the Council approve of and are coherently engaging Mutual Aid and other neighbourhood groups – which have engaged more than 5,000 people across the borough.”
