Join our team to become our new Time Bank Coordinator! You will be a positive, motivated, creative person that can lead the Rushey Green Time Bank (RGTB) project, encouraging its diverse Members to volunteer their time and skills to help each other. You will be comfortable engaging with diverse community members to co-produce and lead their own activities to benefit the wider community as our borough recovers from the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic.

RGTB is a multi-award winning organisation that has pioneered time banking in a health setting. For over 20 years, RGTB has provided grass-roots social prescribing activities that connect, support and inspire local people and benefit their mental and physical health. Our work has proven that connecting people to non-medical support in the community and being active is an effective way to help people gain friends, feel empowered and more confident to manage their life and maintain their independence.

The health and social care sector faces challenges to meet increased needs with reduced resources. Recovering from the Covid-19 pandemic means communities need to feel safe and inspired to be engaged in meaningful ways and that their contribution is valued.

You will ensure that those facing social isolation and poorer health can be supported to do the things that are important to them and play an active part within their local community. You will use imaginative ideas and people to make RGTB thrive with diverse and intergenerational projects that bring the community together through the giving of their time and skills. This is part of our renewal plan and vision where people will experience a greater sense of place, identity and pride about Lewisham.

Can you help us achieve it?
