About the role

  • Term: 12 months fixed term contract – extension subject to funding
  • Hours: 21 hours per week
  • Salary: £27,000 (pro rata £16,200) + 6% employer pension
  • Reporting to: Volunteering Programme Manager
  • Location: Unit C, Place/Ladywell, 261 Lewisham High Street, SE13 6AY and flexible working
  • Holidays: 25 days per year, 2 annual volunteering days + bank holidays (pro rata for part-time)

Join the Lewisham Local team to become our new Work Placements Coordinator and launch our pilot project, Building People, Changing Minds, to support adults with ill mental health and/or learning disabilities into meaningful work placements with local employers. You will research and identify employers to take part in the project, ensuring they are fully prepared to take on work placements, whilst maintaining relationships and act as the liaison to ensure both employers and participants are supported during the placement period. You will have experience of assessing referrals and identifying needs for people with mental ill health and/or learning disabilities, developing effective partnerships and enjoy providing an excellent service to both internal and external stakeholders.
