The Rastafari Movement UK delivers locally-sourced ‘Ital’ food which is commonly called vegan, vegetarian plant-based for people living in Lewisham (and other boroughs) who are struggling financially. They are looking for people to help deliver groceries to 4-5 families on Tuesday afternoon/evenings and conduct a wellbeing check while on the doorstep. They also need volunteer packers to help distribute the food between 2-6pm. While the project is led by people from the Rastafari faith, they welcome volunteers from all backgrounds. Commitment is flexible and they are able to offer some costs towards your expenses. Volunteers also get to take home a bag of surplus fresh fruit and vegetables for themselves. They will also offer you an induction and ongoing support to help you gain experience working in our wonderfully diverse community of South East London
